Introducing the $VOID ⚫
An exclusive TangleSwap utility token
Back in the day, our journey began in the ocean, as humble tangled jellyfishes. The days went by easily, barely any effort was needed.
Glimpsing at such a pleasant atmosphere, we soon had some friends join us in the ecosystem. And despite its vastness, we rapidly realized that in order to thrive and coexist harmoniously, more space would be essential.
Hence, we decided to rebrand by taking off from the ocean and propelling up high into a minimal futuristic outer space theme 🔭🚀👩🚀👾.
Thanks to the support, love and engagement from our community, we were able to venture into all sorts of celestial objects and discover a mysterious source of wormhole energy, which we have termed $VOID. According to the latest scientific literature, our findings correlate well with negative-mass “exotic matter”. The specific mechanisms remain unknown—but it seems to work by injecting some raw liquidity material into pool structures, which when left alone will automagically generate valuable APY returns.
In view of such astounding discovery, the TangleSwap team was immediately promoted to become a crew of Pilots, with all other passengers aboard the TangleSwap spaceship (users, contributors, moderators…) being known as Explorers. After Devnet launch we will be hosting some very unique events in Gather to get everyone to meet and interact in real time — spoilers below! 🛸
VOID Utilities & Distribution
Prospective uses of VOID energy are yet to be fully investigated, although our scouts have already started experimenting with small samples. According to early findings, when combined with bleeding-edge Technology the potential use cases seem unlimited. The following transmission was retrieved:
$VOID will be the reward token for those who provide liquidity and engage in the different aspects of the TangleSwap ecosystem. Yet $VOID is not only a token but also the main source of energy for our network, meaning:
- The future of the TangleSwap universe will be decided by the brave Pilots and Explorers who jump aboard our spaceship. In order to achieve that, $VOID will also become a governance token, with vote weights based on tokens held.
- In line with the autonomy and agency provided by the governance token, $VOID will also be the cornerstone of our financial ecosystem.
- We will provide support for newcomers and developers, e.g. via presales/IFO’s tied to $VOID. Depending on interest, a recruitment program can be set to actively bring projects from other networks who want to launch on TangleSwap.
Furthermore, scientists at the Earth station have begun drafting some overarching guidelines for a fair VOID distribution:
- A vast majority of all VOID mined from wormholes shall be kept for its merited liquidity providers at TangleSwap.
- A small fraction shall be distributed on presales targeted at users, investors & partners that will make the best use of such novel source of energy.
- A tiny percentage of the genesis supply shall be brought back to Earth and airdropped to reward the top-most active and contributing users.
- A final portion shall be reserved to TangleSwap Pilots, enabling significant upgrades to our technology stack for space travel and exploration.
What’s next?
Before our first expedition concludes fully we will publish detailed tokenomics for the $VOID token, as well as intel on the crew behind TangleSwap — including core Pilot members and external collaborators.
We are also excited to let our community know that we plan to eventually hire the services of a highly reputable and repeatedly awarded audit firm: Zokyo. We would like to have them examine the entire TangleSwap codebase (fairly soon™ to be pushed to our GitHub org) prior to Mainnet launch. We aim to be 100% transparent about potential weak spots or inefficiencies, including implementing any subsequent fixes and/or integrating the audit outcomes.
Meanwhile, we keep on conducting heavy field research to bring back to our planet an early Beta version of those so-called Liquidity Pools. Our current best estimates show that the crew will enter Earth’s orbit sometime within March, when a select group of skilled beta testers will maneuver to onboard the TangleSwap spaceship. Based on our community’s feedback, we have established that the selection criteria shall be:
- The first 100 Explorers to sign up on our website (fear not, we will leave plenty of time with an announcement² when we are ready for this).
- Another 50 passengers selected arbitrarily from our social media.
- 10+ experts in UI/UX, as well as members with relevant field experience.
Finally, after several suborbital rotations around Earth, landing on public Devnet is expected sometime soon™. At this point the TangleSwap DEX will become completely available to all Explorers.
